Aéroport : présentation de la nouvelle ligne Nice-Rotterdam

La compagnie hollandaise Transavia, qui assure déjà au départ de Nice une liaison avec Amsterdam, a lancé à partir du 12 avril des vols quotidiens Basiq Air entre les aéroports de Nice et Rotterdam. La présentation de cette nouvelle destination se fera lors d'une conférence de presse, jeudi 3 mai à 12 heures au Centre d'affaires, Terminal 1, salle Chicago. Seront présents des représentants de Transavia et de l'aéroport de Rotterdam.

SK Group, a start-up from Sophia Antipolis in the headlines of Le Monde Interactif. the article is dated from April 30th 2001 under the title "SK Group prévient les collisions sur les chantiers". Bernard Larrouturou, président de l'Inria (Institut national de la recherche en informatique et automatique) présentera jeudi 3 mai à 16 heures, dans les locaux de l'Unité de recherche de l'Inria à Sophia, le nouveau directeur Michel Cosnard qui succède à Marc Berthod (voir l'article "Passation de pouvoirs à l'Inria Sophia"). Bernard Larrouturou évoquera à cette occasion les perspectives d'évolution de l'Inria, et plus particulièrement de l'Unité de Recherche de Sophia pour les prochaines années.

On Thursday May 3rd, 4.00 pm, in the premises of the Inria research Unit in Sophia, Bernard Larrouturou, the president of the Inria (the French national institute for research in computer science and control) will present the new director Michel Cosnard who will take over Marc Berthod (see article "Transfer of power at the Inria in Sophia"). Bernard Larrouturou will mention the evolution prospects of the Inria, and more particularly of the Research Unit in Sophia for years to come.

Will it be finally possible to settle the problem of delays for air flights? In Nice French Riviera, the problem of air traffic controllers is often mentioned to explain arrivals and departures which are sometimes very late compared to scheduled times. This cause should partly be eliminated with the opening of a new sophisticated air control centre in Aix-en-Provence. This centre, built by the State with the intermediary of the DGAC (General Management of Civil air force) was inaugurated on Friday January 26th.

Electronic paper manufactured by new age printing plants which would allow to create high tech newspapers with video displaying and which could be downloaded by Internet from wireless links ! That's what technology can do, according to Transfer.net which quotes scientists declarations from Bell Labs (Lucent Technologies' laboratories) and from the E Ink company. The latter say that they will actually be able to print "electronic paper" rolls soon.
