Nice pampers its first great start-up
As he can see the great interest that the star-ups of the new economy arouse in Nice, Senator Jacques Peyrat will go to visit the Etexx company, settled in the Arénas, on Thursday June 15th , from 3 to 5 pm. On the concept of marketplace in the textile industry, the start-up founded by Frédéric Allard and Frédéric Court, was launched in August 1999, less than one year ago. It has already been hiring 55 people, after it achieved a fund raising of a 50 million franc amount, in March 2000.Nice helped Etexx when it settled, by hiring premises that it owned in the Phare building and by applying a 25% discount to the price (650 F per m2). It was possible to make the discount thanks to a decree of July 1998. Late February, due to its extension, Etexx was granted a new help from the city, as it has been hired the link premises that the local council previously occupied.
