Cannes : the European new economy is in conference

The European 'festival' of the 'dot.com' and of the bio-tech firms is going to settle in the Martinez hotel, for the weekend. It will be the occasion of great debates on the problems of the Net economy…

After the film festival, it is the festival of the 'dot.com' and of the bio-tech firms that will be held in Cannes. Thus, from Friday June 16th ,in the evening, to Sunday 18th, at the Martinez hotel, the Croissance Plus association, headed by Sylvain Forestier (the Web Agency D Interactive CEO) will bring together 400 company managers, economists, academics, investors for the first European conference of the new economy.On Friday evening, at the Palm Beach, a gala dinner will open the debates on the following theme : 'the Net economy : a vital necessity or a real strategic choice ?'. On Saturday morning, the general assembly of Croissance Plus is planned. It is a lobbying association to the public authorities, that defends a tax system adapted to the start-up phenomenon (defence of the stock-options, new social relations in the firm, new management, etc.). Then at the end of the morning and in the afternoon, flexible conferences and seminars will come one after the other, to bring to an end with a dinner-debate and an other current theme 'Europe, politics and new economy'.Sunday will be a more peaceful day as it will be dedicated to the convivial relationship, on the Martinez beach.. The aim will be to exchange business cards, and to strengthen the exchanges outlined during the first two days. It will be a 'first Tuesday' of the French Riviera, even if it will be reserved for European start-ups that have already become stars, or very rich, at least : 1,300 euros only to take part to the congress, and the accommodation is not included…
