Sophia: European Forum about entrepreneurs
Train oneself to undertake: here is the theme of a European Forum that will take place at the Ceram in Sophia Antipolis on October 19th and 20th 2000. The Forum will be organized by the European Commission (DG Entreprises) and the Ministère de l'Economie des Finances et de l'Industrie (Treasury Department) with the help of ministries in charge of education and research. This Forum comes within the extension of the action Plan for the promotion of enterprise and competition (BEST) adopted by the council of the European ministers of industry on April 1999 and the States General of firm creation which took place in Paris on April 2000.This sort of meeting allows to the participants of the different States members of the European Union to share their respective experience and to contribute to the wide spreading of knowledge and good manners in the fields of enterprise development and training to undertake.A part of the works will take place in three workshops.Workshop 1: from school to university: what teaching skills, what actions take in order to give to the young the enterprising mind?Workshop 2: How professional training can favor the entrepreneurial initiative?Workshop 3: new managerial techniques and development of the entrepreneurs systemcontactsThe registrations to the Forum will open during the summerFor further information: www.industrie.gouv.fr
