There were important discussions in Cannes about the project Johnny Halliday came to defend on Monday, August 21st. The star has planned to set up on the former area of the Port Canto Club House, the biggest night club in Europe: The Amnesia. The idea to receive on the Croisette a night club which could welcome more than 3,000 people does not have only supporters.And the Port Canto file is not very easy. The club house had been built without any authorization and it seems very difficult to obtain an authorization for a planning permission. And the club has been closed for even ten years. In 1991, Michel Mouillot, the former Cannes mayor had wanted to stop the concession (because the buildings were on the sea territory). The trial has been lost by the town and an appeal is pending.
