Carlton of Cannes: an extension worth 600 million francs
The come back of the big investment in hotels on the Croisette of Cannes. After the “Majestic”, which built a new wing and added about forty rooms, the Intercontinental Carlton launched an ambitious program to extend its hotel. The aim is to build about one hundred rooms and a Congress centre of 2,500 square meters on 3,000 behind the palace where there is now a big backyard as well as the garage of the establishment.The project which includes a 350 spaces underground car park, hanged gardens, a swimming pool on the roof and a part of real estate housing , represents an investment worth 600 millions francs. Works should begin at the autumn for the opening of the extension between the FIF 2003 (May) and the MIPCOM 2003 (October). During the works, the Carlton will still be opened.
