La Tribune : the boss of the new French air pole gives explanations
How is SAir Group, which have merged Air Littoral, AOM and Air Liberté, going to do to create a new brand from three very different companies and which accuses financial losses ? Paul Reutlinger, the new boss of the French pole of Swissair (SAir Group is the mother company) gives some explanations in an interview published by La Tribune of September 4th 2000. He explains that at the end of the year the three French companies would be reunified under a single brand which name has still to be chosen.In this interview we will notice the will to have two operators, one in the South region, the former Air Liberté, and a Parisian operator, Air Liberté and AOM. But the colour of planes will be the same, as well as uniforms, the product, Paul Reutlinger specifies. At the international airport of Nice, where the three companies work with an important market share, the former Air Littoral would be would be chosen as leader. Moreover, after the problems faced by AOM this summer, a renewal of the fleet of this company, while recapitalization operations are not excluded. The objective that has been set up by shareholders (SAirGroup and the French holding Marine Wendel) is to recover the situation within three years.
