Telecom: RSL France taken over by Kaptech
RSL France, in judicial recovery since April 2001, has been taken over by the alternative operator Kaptech. Jean-Pierre Souviron’s company, set up in Nice, keeps thus most of RSL France’s assets and will provide one of the biggest contracts in the south-east, the airport of Nice Côte d’Azur. Kaptech, which calls itself a “self-made operator” (it makes its own equipments as commutators) has taken over, besides customers, most of the staff (44 people over 51). It is true that the company can afford it. Last April, they managed to reach one of the biggest investments of the year: 150 million euros, that is to say 984 million francs. More than its turnover 2000 (30.5 million euros, 200 million francs) and even more than expectations 2001 (120 million euros). RSL France’s turnover is up to 20 million euros.
