Sophia : RTS Networks becomes RTSe

The Finnish group, that inaugurates on Thursday, March 16th, its new premises in the technopole, thus shows its intention of entering the new step of e-business development.

The great launching is on Thursday, March 16th, for RTS Networks. The Finnish group settled at the end of last year, in Sophia Antipolis, while it took over three firms from Sophia Antipolis : Ove Interactive, Insys and more recently Access Consultants (see the article about operational RTS Networks). On Thursday, it will launch its new brand name, RTSe, and it will inaugurate its new premises,1.100m2, in the Espace Beethoven Building, 1200 Route des Lucioles, in Sophia Antipolis.David Ward-Perkins was appointed president.The group that was floated on December 16th 1999, in London on the AIM List (Alternative Investment Market) has currently got a staff of 200 people distributed among Helsinki, London, the United States and Sophia Antipolis (43 people are currently on the site). A 'senior' from Sophia Antipolis was chosen to manage it : David Ward-Perkins, who had founded Access Consultants in Sophia Antipolis, the third company taken over by RTS in France. This is David Ward-Perkins who is from now the president of the RTS board of directors, and who will present the strategic trends of the group.The changing name of RTS Networks into RTSe is not meaningless. The group, that bears in mind the permanent evolution of the market of the Internet services, thus symbolises its intention of entering a new step of e-business development. New name, new logo, new strategies will be revealed on Thursday. In particular, RTSe, that provides Internet, Intranet, and Extranet solutions, as well as financial solutions, that are high-end and high added value solutions, has lately got a very strong position in the WAP technologies of Internet on mobiles.
