Nice: 1st national meeting for local governments and Internet
Collectivité «on line» is the first forum of the Net and the NTIC (New technologies of information and communication) dedicated to local governments. It will gather on April 18th and 19th 2001 in Nice Acropolis about a thousand of local decision-makers. This forum is organised by the network association IDEAL called Réseau IDEAL set up in 1985 with the mission to encourage the exchange of “savoir-faire” between local governments. These two days in Nice are opened to all service firms (equipment manufacturers and computer software, access providers) who can bring solutions searched by local governments. The first meeting will also combine conferences and exhibitions, the overall being represented by an “Internet city” with its different districts illustrating different themes (social issues, education, environment and national planning, economic development, new communication, communities of interests, webmasters). The public sessions will also deal with the establishment of a public policy for the development of NTIC as well as the Internet in terms of a social tool or the NTIC at the service of local development.ContactRéseau IDEAL, Philippe Boyer, tel 01 45 15 09 07Website : www.reseau-ideal.asso.fr
