Nice : the 31st national days of MIAGE
MIAGE degrees (Master degree of Computer Methods applied to the management of companies) will focus on the development of NTIC and the emergence of new jobs on March 8th and 9th.
The MIAGE (Computer Methods Applied to the Management of Companies, Master Degree) of Nice, organizes the 31st days of MIAGE, a national event which takes place on March 8th and 9th at the University of Sciences in Nice and Sophia Antipolis (Sophia Forum at the Sophia Country Club Hotel). For this 31st anniversary, a subject was chosen : '1970-2001, MIAGE students for the company information technologies of the third millennium'.The aim is to underline the impact of these degrees, new technologies and the emergence of new jobs. For two days, partners in the industries and institutions, more than three hundred future graduates of the twenty MIAGE in France and former MIAGE students and teachers will gather to exchange their experiences, point of views on the development of new technologies of information and communication (see /wwwmiage.unice.fr/miage2001">programmeon the website of the MIAGE of Nice).On Thursday morning, March 8th, the event will start in the large theatre of the Nice university of Sciences. The morning will be dedicated to presentations and round tables. The afternoon will be dedicated to the Sophia Forum, the employment and high tech jobs Forum, from which the MIAGE of Nice is co-organizer. Then, back on Nice university of Sciences on March 9th with several conferences and round tables on the possibilities of jobs after passing the MIAGE.MIAGE degrees have proved the new spirit of the university: a close partnership with professionals. Opened in 1970, their vocation is to prepare to positions in the engineering of the companies' computer systems. They prepare to the positions of engineers-masters with an important capacity of adaptation. They are ready to understand and to model management processes, to master NTIC and make them available to companies, to design relevant information systems. On the French Riviera, the IUP MIAGE of Nice Sophia Antipolis prepares for a degree of engineer-master which replaced the MIAGE master dating from 1970. This degree combines the university knowledge and the savoir-faire in the business world.
