RSL Com is not in liquidation but in a recovery plan, Danielle Lagarde, the general manager of the French subsidiary of the telecom American operator says. Contrary to what was said on the research park, RSL Com is not over, even if at the moment, they are looking for an exit solution. According to Danielle Lagarde, the company was put in a recovery plan last April 4th with an observation period of six months, a period which should allows them to find a rescuer. The daily La Tribune of June 11th 2001, mentions the RSL Com failure of the Riviera in an article which focuses on current difficulties of telecom operators in the P.A.C.A. region. "The American operator, it is written, has started an insolvency process for its European subsidiary and has selected PricewaterhouseCoopers as liquidator. The airport pilot experience, which should have been a steppingstone to other similar operations in the world, is failing. Such a situation is really a problem for the airport Nice Côte d'Azur, even if, for Danielle Lagarde, the CCI, the managing team of the plat-form is totally aware of the situation. According to how the situation will evolve, the CCI risks indeed to have to call for new tenders for the airport plat-form telecommunications.
