Cross-border cooperation: poor results
The cross-border cooperation between the Alpes-Maritimes and Liguria hardly gets better. It has been realized once again during the debate on national planning organised in Menton on Tuesday May 23rd by the Cross-border Operational Mission. Participants, especially professionals in facilities and urban planning, who come from the Alpes-Maritimes and from Liguria have realized that the national planning order which will set the future of the Alpes-Maritimes for the coming years, has been prepared without taking what was going on in Italy into account. In this case, we cannot talk about cross-border planning. The meeting hardly ended with a poor wish: the necessity to examine an harmonisation between urban planning laws of both countries.
