The start-up, with TL SmartDebug, opened the bug hunt for chip cards. It is a tool which allows professionals in embarked software to reduce the time of developing.

Trusted Logic, a Parisian company, which Research and Development department was partly relocated in January 2001 at Sophia Antipolis, was awarded to the “Sésames 2001” for the best software with its TL SmartDebug product. This award was organized at the occasion of the exhibition “Cards 2001” which aims at promoting an available and innovative software in the programming of chip cards. Thus, the function of TL SmartDebug is to open the “bug hunt” for chip cards. The innovation holds in its debug tool embarked in the target, which allows the developing of applications directly on their real platform, card or terminal. According to Dominique Bolignano, CEO at Trusted Logic, ”integrating TL SmartDebug in their development process, professionals in embarked software will decrease in a significant way their time of development and thus increase their reaction face to market requirements, while enhancing the reliability of the global system.”«TL Smartbug brings many advantages compared to traditional development techniques ; moreover, it is very simple to use since it is compatible to all existing development environments, such as Visual Cafe or Jbuilder. » Licences were already bought by several main actors of the chip card (Datacard, Gemplus). Very soon, the TL SmartDebug range will be extended to terminals, allowing an additional simultaneous development of applications working on the card and the terminal at the same time.Concerning the establishment of Trusted Logic on the research park, 5 people now work at the development centre and they should be doubled on the next twelve months (two or three recruitments planned before the end of the year).
