Cannes: Tax Free extends to the Vieux-Port !
An event for the next Tax Free which will take place in cannes from October 22nd to 26th; for the first time, the great luxury industry exhibition is extending to the Vieux-Port. Indeed, the TFWA (Tax Free World Association) has been authorized to record the big distribution companies which rent yachts berthed at the Albert Edouard dock (along the palais), as official exhibitors. We are totally conscious that we are victim of our success”, Andrew Ford, the director of the exhibition, notes. The market did so well that the palais des festivals is meeting a great demand. By extending our exhibition zone to yachts in the “Harbour Village”, we have been able to satisfy some of these demands. It is true that Tax Free, five weeks before the opening, already announced 442 exhibitors among which 33 are newcomers. As far as the idea of including the yachts of the Albert Edouard dock in the exhibition zone, it could be taken by Reed Midem organisation whose shows (MIDEM, MIPCOM, MIPTV, MIPIM, etc) have also no space left in spite of the extension, the Espace Riviera, set up two years ago.
