Sophia : a microelectronic education pole
During the last three or four years, the microelectronic pole has been strengthened on the French Riviera. The great SAME appointment, organized by the CCI every year, has allowed us to see this rise in power. This explains the will to strengthen education in this industry, an education already represented by the ESINSA (Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Nice Sophia Antipolis, an engineering school). Thus, it has been decided to create in the ESINSA premises a CNFM-PACA pole, a microelectronic education pole in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. Bernard Faure, the president of the SITELESC (Syndicat des industries de tubes électroniques et semiconducteurs; union of electronic and semiconductors tubes industries) and Pierre Gentil, the president of the CNFM (Comité national de formation en microélectronique; national comity of microelectronic education) will take part in the creation of this pole in the presence of many company managers of this industry on June 7th, 5.00 pm.
