Right Vision launches a great Eye-Box One

The Eye-box One 2.5, Internet server also dedicated to small and medium-sized companies and industries, offers a range of additional functions to make the administrator’s and the users’ work easier.

Right Vision, the European leader of Internet server appliances, set up in Mouans-Sartoux, is developing its range of products. It presents the version 2.5 of its Eye-box ONE products, servers dedicated to small and medium-sized European companies and industries. For its version 2.5, the Eye-box ONE has new additional functions, making the administrator’s work easier and offering a greater flexibility for the use of the server.There is also more comfort for users, with a Virtual Bureau entirely redesigned and offering more services. The Eye-box ONE 2.5 will be available at the end of the month of June 2001, at Intervalle, Arrow-Microtronica and Softway distributors from 2895 euros.Virtual Bureau entirely redesignedWhat are the new functions? As all Internet server appliances, designed by Right Vision, the Eye-box ONE is pre-defined and easy to use. Dedicated to small and medium-sized companies and industries, it allows to have at their disposal all Internet services instantaneously: messaging, cooperative work, website hosting, firewall, VPN. The version 2.5, at first, adds a “Step by Step” configuration Assistant: it allows to configure the main services while being guided in seven steps, from the first use. The access to the new Virtual Bureau, which was entirely re-designed and much developed, is totally secured, from any computer connected to the Internet. It offers new functions, particularly useful for mobile people within a company and for the share of information:- A personal agenda shared with the other users of your group- Access, for the user, to his personal files, to the group’s and to the company’s files- Access to the news of his group or his company- The availability of the company’s directory and a management of personal contacts- A management of personal and collective favourite websites- The possibility to read and to send e-mails from a WAP phone- Useful tools such as: clock, calculator in euros or gamesOther new functionsAmong the other new functions worth noting:- The function of DHCP server to ease the management of computers connected to the same network- A Proxy Cache function to speed data surfing- An extended function of messaging, mainly to answer to expectations of companies which are not connected permanently, allowing a synchronization with distant messaging servers- A management chart to view statistics and to get security logs, mails, FTP transfers and Internet connexions- A new function of data backup and restoration: entirely redesigned, it is more simple, more intuitive and more efficient- Automation of the updating function: automatic download of the last developments of the Eye-boxAll these functions should boost the sales of the Eye-box One and should allow the start-up of the French Riviera, which currently employs about one hundred people, to continue its ascension.
