PACA: strike for local trains
Today, Thursday August 30th, the PACA region is facing a new day of strike for local trains. Following the attack on the train Marseille-Toulon (a new attempt of defenestration in high speed) underwent by a ticket inspector aged 43 years old the day before, inspectors of the PACA region called for a 24-hour strike. Since the beginning of the year, about fifty attacks were registered. The strike action, to protest against the deterioration in working conditions and insecurity, began on Wednesday at 19.00. On Thursday, through the day, only one TER out of four was running, according to the SNCF. However, the traffic of fast trains (TGV) and main lines was not disrupted.
