Nice : the tourist office on-line

Nice Information Centre is now on-line. From last July 5th, it has its own website, /www.nicetourism.com"> www.nicetourism.com. Before, Nice Tourist Office only had one section in the general portal of Nice City as an Internet storefront. The new website, dedicated to the general public, widens the range of information available. Is is organized under four main sections. 'Your stay' gathers hotels, restaurants and activities. Distinctive feature: with the hotel keepers' unions and the company, Worldres.com, recently set up in Sophia Antipolis, a secured system of bookings was created with the availability on-line for about sixty one-star hotels up to four stars. It is the first in France.Other sections: 'Practical information' for transports, accesses, maps; 'What to see' for large exhibitions and events; 'What's on' for upcoming events. If the general information isn't very detailed yet (in particular the section 'What's on'), Nice intends to develop a portal on an international scale for its tourist offer. An English version is under construction while in the middle run, Italian and German versions are planned, whereas a section called 'professionals' intended for travel agencies, bus operators and tour operators is announced for next autumn.
