Nice-Saint-Tropez: the maritime shuttle is unlucky
This year, the maritime shuttle is very unlucky. However, last year, this service set up by Air France proved to be operational. But this year, the Emeraude Lines’ fast catamaran in charge of providing the link between the airport of Nice and Saint-Tropez has experienced more immobilisation days than rotation days. Early July, the left motor of the ship has blown up and was on docks for 25 days of reparation. And early August, the right motor broke down with 25 supplementary days of reparation. This is a big problem for a service which is provided between June 15th and September 15th. Air France has not yet decided to provide again this service next year. But it is obvious that the unluckiness of this year, which has compelled the company to find new solutions for passengers, can make people very concerned.
