Nice Airport : 9.4 million passengers in 2000

A new frequenting record for Nice French Riviera Airport which registered in 2000, 9.4 million passengers, a figure that raised of 8.5 % compared to 1999. This new progression concerned international traffic. The European traffic has increased of 16 % (4% for national traffic). New fact : during the summer 2000, the international traffic is becoming as important as the national traffic and if the difference of progression stays the same, it should exceed it. Concerning the progression rapidity, Nice is also in a good position even if all French provincial airports have registered an increasing number of passengers. Lyon increased faster (+ 9% to 6 million passengers), Marseille is getting an raise of 6.5% and Toulouse, between 5 and 6%.
