Michel Lévèque, State Minister of Monaco, head of the princely government will leave his duties at the end of December, after his term in office of 3 years. Former ambassador in Lybia, Marroco, Brazil and Algeria, this French diplomat, aged 66, is retiring. In Monaco, he participated to the implementation of the new Millennium policy marked by many important projects as the underground station, which inauguration has just took place, the construction of a floating seawall for the harbour Hercule as well as the construction of the Grimaldi Forum. Michel Lévêque also worked for the international opening of the principality. The name of his successor should be known soon. According to the conventions, the sovereign Prince always chooses a French diplomat among the three names France suggests.
