Microelectronics : assembling and integration of components
The CARMA and the CREMSI organize a technical information day for companies specialized and research laboratories on Thursday April 12th, at the ESSI in Sophia Antipolis.
The CARMA, Centre d'Animation Régional en Materiaux Avancés (regional animation center for advanced materials) and the CREMSI, Centre Régional d'Etude de la Microélectronique sur le Silicium (regional center of studies on silicon microelectronics), organize a 'Microelectronics and materials' conference on the theme of 'Assembling technologies and integration of components' on April 12th 2001, from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm, at the ESSI, in Sophia Antipolis. The CARMA and the CREMSI are two organizations in charge of favouring the transfer of technologies and the development of industrial projects in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. In the framework of their activity of scientific and technique information diffusion, they have set up this day in Sophia on the theme located at the crossroads of their savoir-faire : assembling microelectronic components. This technique information day is dedicated to microelectronic companies as well as to research laboratories. The aim is to present its products, techniques and technologies used in assembling as well as innovating developments in the field of adhesive bonding in particular. The program is the following :- New materials (conductor adhesives, resins) and processes used for assembling chips (interconnexions for chip cards)- Resins and technologies of encapsulation and integration of components (Glob Top, Dam and Fill,...)- Adhesive characterisation techniques and modelling of loaded adhesive characteristics.- Non destructive methods of bonded assembling by visual inspection, picture analysis and electronic microscopy. In order to develop these subjects, the CARMA and the CREMSI have invited industry and research specialists : Thalès Micorsonics, 3 M, Gemplus, Cybernétix, CNRS - University of Talence, Loctite, Biophy Research. This meeting of branch specialists will be also the best moment to start collaborations and projects. The conference will take place at the ESSI, Ecole Supérieure en Sciences Informatiques of Sophia Antipolis, which has kindly accepted to welcome this event.Information and contacts- Conference participation fees including a copy of acts, snacks and lunch.CARAMA and CREMSI members : 300 francs, non members : 500 francs.- CARMA : Centre d'Animation Régional en Matériaux Avancés - Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region; AREP Center - 1, traverse des Brucs - F - 06560 VALBONNE - SOPHIA ANTIPOLIS; Tel : 33 4 93 00 43 80 - Fax : 33 4 92 38 98 98 - Email : carma@carma.cma.frIsabelle PENOT, Tel : 04 93 00 43 84 or Email : penot@carma.cma.fr- CREMSI : Centre Régional d'Etude de la Microélectronique sur le SiliciumBP 19 - Place Paul Borde - 13790 Rousset; Tel : 04 42 53 81 50 - Fax : 04 42 53 81 51 - Email : contact@cremsi.orgCorinne JOACHIM, Tel 04 42 53 81 50 or Email : corinne.joachim@cremsi.org
