Istar: Didier Argenton, sales and marketing vice-president
The company from Sophia Antipolis, a subsidiary of EADS specialised in production of 3D geographic databases, keeps on strengthening its heading team by creating a new post.
The company from Sophia Antipolis Istar S.A., keeps on strengthening its heading team. They have nominated Didier Argenton at the post of sales and marketing vice-president early this week. This function has just been created. In March, the geometric subsidiary of EADS, specialized in production of 3D geographic databases, already strengthened its executive team with the coming of Bernard Plano at the post of CEO and Laurent Renouard as executive officer.Until now, Didier Argenton, 39, was president of Ipseo.com, a plat-form company of Internet services he co-founded in 2000. He brings Istar an international experience, acquired particularly during six years spent at Texas Instruments, where he was Export Director, then at Arrow Computer Products, where he was International Director from 1993 to 1996, before he took the head of the European Direction of Operations from 1996 to 1999.Graduated from the Business School from Nantes, Didier Argenton has completed its studies with a DESS of International Business in Paris I before he got a MBA at the university of San Diego, California. Married and father of three children, he went into office on September 3rd 2001. He and his family come thus back in a region which they adopted during the years spent at Texas instruments. At Istar, Didier Argenton will have the global responsibility for the business strategy, as well as the direction of leading executives who will work under his responsibility.
