The profit warnings never end in the microelectronic sector. After Philips, STMicroelectronics and others, Infineon, set up like Philips in Sophia Antipolis warned on Wednesday June 20th that its results on the third quarter 2001 (ending on June 30th) would end on an operating loss of 600 million euros. Concerning the turnover, down because of the slowing down of the demand in mobile telephony, has plunged of 30%.
