Harry Lapp, artistic director of 'Jazz à Juan'
In charge of the programme planning of the jazz festival of Strasbourg, the show Alsatian organiser Harry Lapp has been nominated artistic director of the festival 'Jazz à Juan'. He takes over from Victor Lévy-Perrault, the former director of the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, who has been responsible for it for five years. The choice has been made through a call for tenders launched by the city hall and which was composed, besides the winner and Victor Levy-Perrault, who stood for his own succession, of Michel Leeb who lost the Nice Jazz Festival last year. Moreover, Harry Lapp, who is at the head of the biggest French jazz festival (last year it was forty years old), is town councillor in Strasbourg and vice-president (UDF) of the council of the department in the Bas-Rhin.
