The sites which have disappeared have their virtual graveyard. In the newsletter of Monday August 6th Toutsurlacom.com talks about "Ghost Sites", set up in 1996 by a 45 year old New-York city dweller. Steve Baldwin wanted ”dead sites not to disappear”. In a kind of “museum of e-failures”, he thus offers a page (sometimes the last one which mentions the end of the project and which thanks surfers) of some 525 dot.coms which have collapsed during the great Web epic. ”These screen pages will remind people of the glory, of the craziness, of the sensitiveness of the design during he golden age of the Web”, Steve Baldwin writes in the preamble.
