Field names : the seven new extensions
It is now going to be the end of the shortage very soon with the .com, .net, .org and .gov. The INCANN, organization which regulates Internet, has selected a batch of seven new extensions for addresses on the Web. They will be added to the existing names said to be generic (unlike the national 'dots' as .fr, .it, or others). The new ones are .biz (business), .info (information), .name (surnames), .pro (professionals), museum (museums), aero (trips) and coop (cooperative enterprise). However, there's no need to hurry : these extensions will only be available at the beginning of next year. Some of them will be opened to everyone like the extensions 'name' or 'info'. Others reserved for companies within the sector as 'museum', 'pro'.
