The failure of the Internet Fair in Nice
Patrick Walz, Webstore's CEO wondered why the events organized at the 'Cyber Emploi' of Nice didn't have success. His questions were sent in a tough mail to the organizer from the French Riviera.
In the Alpes-Maritimes, the Internet Fair didn't attract many visitors and it's a shame. Patrick Walz, one of the pioneers of the Internet on the French Riviera, Webstore's CEO, didn't mince his words in a mail sent to the organizor and president of the French Riviera Fair. Here it is:'My dear President, 'DIACOCYBER' from the group for the organization and promotion of the Arts and Culture of the Internet Fair of March 2nd, 3rd and 4th 2001 in the region Nice French Riviera of the Alpes-Maritimes.A briefing took place on Wednesday February 7th 2001 from 5.00 PM to 7.00 PM in the premises of the CYBER-EMPLOI of Nice (place Yves Klein). My question is simple! Will there be a debriefing organized?A session that will try to find out the whys and wherefores of the failure (Promotion through the media? Interest? Supervision? Budget?) of the Internet Fair in Nice.Indeed, as many did, I accepted to hold a 'conference' in the premises of the Cyber-Emploi.On the day and time of the 'conference', I had the unpleasant surprise to see that we were the only ones to attend (you were not even there). Surprised , indeed even offended, I came back in the afternoon (you were still not there) to check if France Telecom had more success than I had.Not even more !!!Muriel Chabran faced one people in the theatre for her conference on the E-commerce…(I didn't even see this person, sorry Muriel to interrupt in your explanation…)I think it was the same for the other contributors!Anyway, I thank the ladies of the Cyber-Emploi who tried to bring contributors(it is just a shame that visitors didn't know about it).'
