Casino : the Barrière group gets out of Hammamet
In September, the Barrière group got out of Hammamet in Tunisia where it ran a casino in a hotel which did not belong to the group. Thus, it favors its french competitor, the Partouche group which has its own casino in Djerba and which intends to build several casinos in Tunisia. What is the reason that the Barrière group puts forward ? The Tunisian government would have promised them that, whitin a few years, gambles would be authorized to autochthons, which is not yet done for the moment. Another luxury hotel-trade group to get off is Diva, in Isola 2000, a four-star hotel that they had run for three or four years.
