Cannes Film Festival : Liv Ullman will replace Jodie Foster
Cannes International Film Festival (May 9th-20th 2001) has found another president of the Jury: Liv Ullman, Ingmar Bergman's favourite actress will succeed Luc Besson for the presidency of the most famous jury in the world. Liv Ullman will take over Jodie Foster, the American actress and film director who was supposed to fulfill this task but she renounced ten days ago, 'with death in the soul', because of a last-minute shooting. Liv Ullman has declared to be both honored and deaply appreciative to be given the pleasure of being the President of the Jury and to work with what she enjoys the most : watching movies'.
