Alcatel falls on the marketplace (La Tribune)

“One year ago, no one could believe the Alcatel share could fall beyond the lowest levels of autumn 1998, when security lost half of its value in some sessions ?”, La Tribune daily directly attacks, after the new fall of the favourite securities of French on the marketplace. In "L'action Alcatel au plus bas depuis trois ans", they mention this serious fall (-11.5 on Wednesday September 5th and near 5% on Thursday September 6th). Since the beginning of the year, the share has lost three fourth of its value ! And nobody sees the limit. Hit by the slowdown on its markets, Alcatel does not expect any immediate improvement of its activity. A disastrous sentence of its CEO Serge Tchuruk caused this fall on Wednesday. “We hope this year to reach a positive operating result but the market doesn’t help. That’s a real challenge” he said during the “Valeurs Françaises” forum. Apparently investors did not really wanted to take part in this challenge.
